Shanghai, China

 

on November 9 - 12, 2017

 

 

General Regulations

 

The competition will be held under the 2016 ISU General Regulations and Special Regulations/Technical Rules for Short Track Speed Skating and ISU Communication No. 2106.

 

Participation is open to all ISU Members. This competition is part of the AUDI ISU World Cup Short Track 2017/18.

Track Conditions

 

The Oriental Sports Center has an artificially refrigerated indoor ice surface of 60 x 30 meters. Movable protective padding covers the boards in accordance with Rule 280, paragraph 5 and ISU Communication No. 1726. (or any further update). The standard track will be laid out 111.12 meters to the lap.

 

Entries

 

a) Entries can only be made using the ISU Online Entry System for World Cup Short Track Speed Skating on www.isu.orgsection Short Track Speed Skating.

 

b) Entries with the number of Competitors, substitutes, coaches & team leader and requirements of accommodation must be submitted by Thursday 28 September 2017.

In addition, please send an ID picture of each Team Member to the Organizing Committee in electronic format, not later than Saturday 4 November 2017, enabling the OC to prepare all accreditations in advance (please refer to below paragraph “Accreditation”).

 

ISU Members failing to comply in time with these requirements will receive no support from the Organizing Member for:

Hotel booking;

 

Travel arrangements between airport and hotel;

 

Travel arrangements between hotel and ice rink;

 

Access to Closing Banquet (if held);

 

Preferred times for additional training sessions.

 

All these costs and any additional costs incurred will be for the full account of the ISU Members concerned.

 

 

c) Final Entries must reach the Organizing Committee using the Online Entry System must be submitted at the latest by 20:00 hrs (local time) on Saturday 4 November 2017 (see ISU Communication No. 2106, paragraph 4), and the following information must be communicated to the Organizing Committee:

 

Names of the Competitors and substitutes per category with their International Registration Numbers;

 

Names of the Competitors for each of the respective individual distances;

 

Confirmation of participation in the Relay.

 

Final Entries that do not comply with these requirements are considered Post Entries. See Rule 115.

 

 

d) Competitors must be present in Shanghai at the latest at 18:00 hours on Wednesday 8 November 2017 or the Organizing Committee must receive documented proof that the competitors are in transit and will arrive in due time for the World Cup Competition. Competitors who do not comply with these requirements will be excluded

 

e) Please note that for all persons entered by the Members, the procedures regarding the Declaration for Competitors and Officials (all team Officials requiring an accreditation) entering ISU Events (Rule 131) as


 

outlined in ISU Communication No. 1628 need to be strictly observed.

Citizenships / Residence Requirements and Clearance Procedure

 

In accordance with Rule 109 of the ISU Regulations and ISU Communication No.2030, all skaters who do not have the nationality of the Member by which they have been entered or who, although having such nationality, have in the past represented another Member, must produce an ISU Clearance Certificate.

 

World Cup points

 

The points scoring at the World Cup Competition is made in accordance with ISU Communication No. 2106, paragraph 12.

 

Anti-Doping

 

Anti-Doping tests will be carried out according to the ISU Anti-Doping Rules and ISU Anti-Doping Procedures, as given in the applicable ISU Communications (ISU Communications Nos. 1871, 1872, 1922 & 2100 or later updates).

 

Ice Training

 

The Organizing Committee will arrange free ice training on Wednesday 8 November 2017 for all participating teams. Extra practices will be provided from Monday 6 November 2017. Each training session (50 minutes) will be charged will be charged 1200 CNY per session. If two or more teams agree to share one training session, both (all) of them can share the cost.

 

 

Liability

 

In accordance with Rule 119 of the ISU General Regulations, the ISU, Chinese Skating Association and The Organizing Committee assume no responsibility for or liability with respect to bodily or personal injury or property damage incurred in connection with the AUDI ISU World Cup Short Track Speed Skating Competition. Each Member is solely responsible for providing insurance coverage thereto.

 

Accommodation

 

All participants should bear their own expenses for accommodation. The cost of a room and full board at the official hotel is as follows:

 

Single Room (per person, per night): CNY 1400 (approximate US$ 210)

 

Double Room (per person, per night): CNY 1000 (approximate US$ 150)

 

The above price include 3 meals (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

 

*Payment: Cash in Chinese Yuan or Credit card (Please make sure to open the foreign currency payment


 

function for China on your credit card prior to your travel);

 

*Payment procedures: Teams shall transfer a prepayment of the accommodation costs to the Organizing Committee before arrival. Remaining costs may be paid by cash (in Chinese Yuan), or by credit card (VISA, MASTERCARD, UNIONPAY +3% handling charges).

 

All arrangements for accommodations must be made through the Organizing Committee.

Hotel requirements must be communicated to the Organizing Committee as soon as possible, but no later than Friday 28 September 2017.

 

Transportation

 

The Organizing Committee will organize and provide one transportation each way, free of charge, for each team between Pu Dong International Airport or Hong Qiao International Airport and the official hotel, from Sunday 5 November 2017 to Monday 13 November 2017.

 

Expenses for team officials, who do not accompany their team members, are to be borne by themselves.

 

 

The Organizing Committee will also provide transportation between the official hotel and Oriental Sports Center during the competition days and the training periods, starting from Monday 6 November 6 2017. The date, airline, flight number, expected time of arrival and the date and time of departure should be communicated to the Organizing Committee as soon as possible, but no later than Thursday 28 September 2017. Please include the amount of special equipment (e.g. bicycles, massage tables, etc.) that needs to be transported.

 

Invitation Letter for the visa

 

If you need assistance to obtain Chinese visa or specific invitation letter please send passports copies and visa application form to our association in due time. It usually takes few working days to get an official invitation letter from Sports General Administration of China.
